God, How could you let this happen.<br /><br /><img src=http://i35.tinypic.com/14n1es2.jpg><br /><br /><strong>Television star Gallen Lo, 45, said he has parted amicably with his wife of 10 years, Clare Fong.</strong><br /><br />He announced in an interview with Ming Pao Weekly that the couple filed for separation last year and that they divorced this year.<br /><br />They have a nine-year-old son who will live with Fong.<br /><br />He later told Sing Tao Daily: <strong>'We're still friends. We're family. I will still protect my family members.'</strong><br /><br />According to Apple Daily, he met Fong, his first love, in night school. They dated for 18 years and married in Vancouver in 1998, two years after he rose to stardom in the TVB drama Cold Blood Warm Heart.<br /><br />In the interview, he said <strong>the marriage fell apart because the couple stopped communicating.<br /></strong><br />He admitted that they had thought of divorce as early as 2001, but decided to work at their marriage for the sake of their young son.<br /><br />When he quit TVB and concentrated on shooting TV series in China, <strong>the marriage got better because the couple were apart most of the time. But, ultimately, the relationship cooled, he said.</strong><br /><img src=http://i37.tinypic.com/u5zi8.jpg><br />-Gallen has stated he would leave the 10million mansion bought recently to his wife and child. and would not fight for custody of his son.<br /><br /><br /><strong>They could spend a day at home without a word to each other, he added. They did not even fight, he said.</strong><br /><br />Although he has been linked in the tabloids to actress Jessica Hsuan, he insisted there was no third party.<br /><strong><br />His ex-wife said she wishes him well, adding that he should mind his health and not drink too much.</strong><br /><br />When asked will he be moving out of their mansion after their divorce, Gallen evasively answers: "<strong>Even though we were separated, we could still live under the same roof, just different room. There's no problem with that as we still have good relationship.</strong> (Now that you are officially divorced, will you be moving out?) I will not respond to personal question. (Will you get married again in the future?) I won't answer such assumptive question." Gallen avoids answering sensitive topics but the truth is, he already transferred his HKD10 million mansion under his ex-wife's name and he does not plan to fight for his son's custody. He hopes that his son can grow up in the most comfortable environment. "<strong>I won't respond on the custody issue, but I still have good relationship with my son. Actually he already accepted our divorce, so all I can say is that we are still good. Our divorce is not something that happened overnight.
